Honey is the naturally produced substance created by honey bees from the nectar of flowers. India produces 90,000 tons of honey of all varieties annually engaging five lakh people in the business.

Regulations on Honey-

Quantity of Ingredients -As per FSSAI, Honey should comply with 18 parameters such as sucrose content, glucose ratio, pollen count, foreign oligosaccharides. This is done keeping the interests of the consumer in mind. Sucrose content in honey is capped at 5%. Moisture percentage is kept at a maximum of 20.
